The way you touched me,
the love in your eyes when you watched me,
the way you pulled me close to you,
and proposed to me out of the blue,
the way you looked into my eyes before we kissed,
Oh! That magical evening covered in mist,
The way you understood even before I spoke,
The desires in me that you used to evoke,
your fingers that wiped the tears from my eyes,
your words of encouragement that helped me rise,
your mischievous smile that lights up my life,
are all alive within me, even today,
Ten years, since your last word.
You left me alone in this awkward world,
with the promise that you made,
to stay by my side, forever,
still echoing in my solitary heart.
