Entries titled, “New year resolution” from a young woman’s diary.

January 1 2015:

Create a collection of your own miniature art. Make one every month.

By May 2015, an empty box labeled, ‘My Art’, found its permanent residence on the floor beside her brown stool.

January 1 2016:

You’re an art student for crying out loud! It doesn’t matter if you hate history. Read ‘Art through the ages’.

Gardner’s book soon joined the dusty box.

January 1 2017:

Learn ballroom dancing. Lose weight.

On April 22nd 2017, a few dozen spiderlings emerged from the labyrinth inside the dancing shoes. They viewed their neighborhood built by broken resolutions.
