FRIDAY FICTIONEERS PHOTO PROMPT

WORD COUNT :100

A honeymoon suite’s mirror, reflected the love emanating from the couple. “Love you”, she whispered. Her husband looked deep into her eyes and kissed her passionately.

The couple celebrated their 10th anniversary in the very same suite. The mirror now showed a worried looking plump lady, sitting on the bed and her balding husband working at the desk, with his laptop. “Think Anne is OK?”, she asked. Without looking at her he replied, ‘Just a cold! She’ll be fine”.

With work and worry towering between them, the bed in that honeymoon suite failed its purpose for the very first time.

This story is a part of the Friday Fictioneers Photo Prompt Flash fiction challenge. Every Friday, a photo prompt is provided by the organizer Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. The participants have to come up with a 100 word story. You can read the other entries here.

Check out a couple of my favorite stories for the last week’s FF prompt. I’m sure you’ll love these brilliant pieces.

    1. Hey! Thanks. I was just painting yesterday and an interesting pattern came out- my new logo. I don’t think it looks perfect though, it is hand painted. Thanks a lot for your feedback.

  1. i read somewhere and i’m paraphrasing here that we shouldn’t be sorry it’s over. we should be grateful it happened.

anyway, i love the black and white logo. i know your stories will add color to it as they get better every week.

  2. I, too, love the logo.
This was a good piece showing how life gets in the way of romance sometimes. It takes huge effort to keep the fires lit at times!

  3. You captured the decay that can befall some marriages after a few years.
It is a shame when people forget to keep the love they once shared alive everyday.
It’s like our shoes. We need to keep them polished in order for them to be shiny and bright.
I hope they can rekindle their romantic days before this vacation is over. A beautifully told story.
